NAIOP offers a wide variety of association benefits. Whether you are interested in learning more about development trends, or simply want to be part of our collective lobbying voice on Capitol Hill, NAIOP is the only trade association devoted exclusively to the industrial, office and mixed-use real estate development niche.
NAIOP's timely and informative education programs keep you in-the-know about the hottest industry news and opportunities. Nationally, NAIOP offers various conferences that bring together industry leaders and high-level keynote speakers. National conferences allow you to expand your network, and develop relationships that can benefit your business.
Locally, your chapter will host a variety of events, meetings and seminars to foster local connections and keep you aware of news in relevant markets.
Local and National Connections
As a member of NAIOP, you'll also belong to a local chapter. This doubles your exposure to education and networking, allowing you to build your local connections while still participating nationally.
As long as Congress can write and rewrite laws, then becoming involved in the political process is not a choice, but a necessity. Among its many
duties, NAIOP's dedicated Government Affairs staff:
Lobbies on your behalf and testifies before Congress on issues impacting commercial real estate, including insurance, tax, brownfields reform,
property rights and forced access.
Partakes in issue coalitions, including the E-Fairness Coalition, the Forced Access Alliance, National Wetlands Coalition and the National Endangered Species Reform Act Coalition.
Supports industry-friendly members of Congress and candidates through the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties Political Action Committee (NAIOP-PAC).
NAIOP's Government Affairs staff is committed to getting your issues heard on Capitol Hill. Our proactive efforts helped to ease passage of two top legislative priorities: leasehold improvements and brownfields reform. For the latest legislative news, read our bi-weekly newsletter Legislative News.
